The entrance door is on the main façade of São Bento Palace

The Assembly of the Republic has a space that is open to the public – the Parliamentary Bookshop. The entrance is in the main façade of São Bento Palace.

The goal of the Parliamentary Bookshop is to make it easier to get to know more about the Assembly of the Republic and the work done by this ‘entity that exercises sovereignty’.

The Parliament’s Publications Catalogue, which is distributed free of charge, makes it possible to identify all the publications that have been available since 1977 and can be consulted or purchased, by area of interest.

The Bookshop also sells a range of evocative objects inspired by the Palace’s historical heritage: Portuguese tiles, cork, crystal, tinware, children's line, medallions, stationery, leather goods, silverware, porcelain, textiles and other items..

Books from other publishers may also be purchased.

The Parliamentary Bookshop is open every working day from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., and also from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. on the last Saturday of each month.
